When submitting this letter to the Energy Rating Team, please ensure it is provided on company letterhead.

To the Energy Rating Team,

I authorise [name of person] to Act as the Authorising Officer for the purposes of registering regulated appliances in the Energy Rating Product Registration System, which are produced, supplied and/or manufactured by [name of Applicant Organisation] and sold in Australia and/or New Zealand.

I understand this person will perform the role of Authorising Officer (see definitions, Glossary Of Terms) in the Energy Rating Product Registration System.

I understand by making this authorisation we, as the Applicant, retain responsibility for the accuracy of the material the Authorising Officer(s) use and submit as part of the application process.

I understand it is my responsibility as an Applicant to notify the Energy Rating Team if this authorisation is withdrawn, and to provide the Energy Rating Team with another Authorising Officer in relation to all applications submitted by previous Authorising Officers.

I understand that the information provided in this letter will only be used for purposes directly related to the administration of the Energy Rating Product Registration System.
