Video Transcript - Using the dashboard

Screen 1: Title screen
Welcome to the video help series for the Energy Rating Product Registration System.

In this video, we are going to show you how to use the Dashboard page of the registration system.

Screen 2: Dashboard
The Dashboard page is the first page we see when we log in and have selected our Applicant.

It is our home page for our Applicant when we are logged in to the system.

Each Dashboard page reflects specific information for that Applicant.

If we are a member of more than one Applicant, when we log in, we will be able to choose the Dashboard page we want to see.

However, if we are a member of only one Applicant, we will automatically see the Dashboard page for that Applicant.

Let’s quickly go through the sections on this page.

Screen 3: Latest News/News Strip
The first section we can see is the Latest News section, or what we also call the News Strip.

The News Strip contains important news and updates from the GEMS Regulator that registrants need to be aware of.

The News Strip will include articles on new product determinations and standards, changes to the registration system, system outages and technical issues.

We select the “All Articles” link to view all the articles currently published on the News Strip.

We can also select the “Articles” tab at the top of the page to view all published articles.

Screen 4: Applicant summary In the grey box below the news strip, we can see our Applicant’s company logo, name, address and contact information.

This reflects the information we entered when we set up our Applicant account.

If you’re an Authorising Officer in the Applicant, you will also see a blue “Manage my account” button.

You can select this button if you want to change or update the Applicant’s details.

On the next line, we can see a series of statistics.

These reflect the applications and registrations that our Applicant has in the system, and their current status.

The final line in this box shows us the last application that was added by our Applicant.

Screen 5: Shortcut coloured squares
We then see four coloured squares.

Each of these squares provide a shortcut to a different area of the system.

The first square, coloured green, allows us to create a new application for a product registration.

The second square, coloured brown, allows us to search through and manage our registrations or applications.

The third square, coloured blue, allows us to manage our own personal account.

The fourth square, coloured purple, allows us to view any agents who are registering applications for registration on behalf of the Applicant.

You will be only able to see this if you are an Authorising Officer.

Screen 6: Profile completion statistic and Notification Centre
On the right hand side of the page, there are two other grey boxes.

The first box indicates whether or not we have completed all the information for the Applicant account.

We can see a completion statistic and, if there is information we haven’t provided, what the missing information is and a link to where we can add it.

The second box underneath is the Notification Centre.

This contains a list of notifications for actions in the system that have recently occurred.

For example, a registration has been paid, a registration has expired or a registration has been approved.

We can click on any of the notifications in this box to view more details.

Screen 7: Dashboard
And that is the Dashboard page in the registration system.

Screen 8: Help section
For further assistance with using the registration system, select the “Help” tab at the top of any page to go to our handy Help section, where you can find more videos and step-by-step guides to help you navigate any aspect of the system.
